CaptureCard™ Dust Mit...$29.99

You wash the sheets. The mattress refills them.

Dust mites do not live on the surface you keep washing. They live deep inside mattresses, pillows and sofa cushions, feeding on shed skin and leaving allergen-heavy droppings behind.

Stuffy mornings start in bed

Itchy eyes and a blocked nose can arrive the moment your head hits the pillow, because the source is a few inches from your face all night.

Your washer cannot reach the colony

Hot-washing the sheets helps. But the mites living inside the mattress move back up to the surface within days, and you start over.

Killing is not removing

Sprays can leave dead mites, droppings and residue sitting in the fabric. The allergens are in the debris, so the debris is the thing to remove.

The fix

Stop chasing them. Pull them out.

A CaptureCard sits where the mites already are and draws them onto a sticky capture surface sealed inside the card. No spraying, no fumes, no scrubbing, nothing added to the bed you sleep in.

Lure

A plant-derived attractant in the cotton mesh draws mites up out of the fabric and into the card. No electricity, no noise, nothing to refill.

Trap

A high-strength adhesive layer holds the mites, their bodies and their droppings inside the card instead of leaving them in your mattress.

Check, then bin it

After three months you can open the card up and look at what it collected before you throw the whole thing away.

Slide it in. Let it work.

Slide it in

Under the mattress, under the pillow area, under a sofa cushion or a pet bed. Flat, out of sight, about ten seconds.

2

It works while you sleep

The lure pulls mites toward the card around the clock and the adhesive keeps what it catches. Nothing for you to do for three months.

3

Open it and look

When the card is due for replacement, snip it open and slide out the inner panel. Hold it over your phone's torch and the trapped debris shows up dark against the light. Zoom the camera to about 10x and you can pick out the mites themselves.

The part nobody shows you

Most traps ask you to take their word.

Dust mites are far too small to see unaided, so with a spray or a cover you never find out whether anything happened. At the end of a card's life you cut it open, take out the inner panel, and hold it to your phone's torch. The debris it collected shows up dark against the light, and at about 10x zoom you can see the mites. Then the whole thing goes in the bin.

You can actually see what it caught

Put one under our mattress and one under the couch. Checked it a few weeks later with my phone light and there were dark specks all over it. Grim, but satisfying.

No smell at all

I used sprays before and hated the smell around the kids' beds. These just sit under the mattress. No scent, no residue, no extra laundry.

It deals with the part you cannot wash

I still wash the bedding every week. This was the first thing that felt like it was doing something about what is inside the mattress rather than on top of it.

Low effort, which is why I keep it up

Slide it under, forget it, check it later. That is exactly the kind of allergy routine I can actually stick to.

Thin enough that nobody notices

Bought a 12 pack for our bed, the guest room, the couch and the kids' beds. You cannot feel them through the mattress.

Better than guessing

I like that you can see the trap has done something. With sprays I never knew whether I was helping or just making the room smell of cleaner.

How does a CaptureCard work?
Inside the woven cover there is a cotton mesh carrying a plant-derived attractant, a clear panel, and a high-strength adhesive layer. The attractant draws house dust mites in, and the adhesive holds them, their bodies and their droppings inside the card instead of in your mattress.
Where do I put them?
Under the mattress, near the pillow area, under sofa cushions, in a pet bed, tucked beside a plush toy, or anywhere soft that your skin is in contact with for hours. Focus on where your face spends the night.
How many do I need?
One card covers one spot. Use one for a twin bed, crib, sofa or pet bed, and two for a queen or king — one under each side. Most homes land on 8 to 12.
How long does one last?
Up to three months. After that, replace it with a fresh card. There is nothing to recharge, refill or wash.
How do I see what it caught?
It takes a minute, and you do it when the card is due for replacement. Snip the card open along one edge and slide out the inner panel. Hold the panel over your phone's torch — the trapped debris shows up as dark patches against the light. Zoom your phone camera to about 10x and you can make out individual mites. Checking opens the card up, so do it at the end of its three months rather than partway through.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
The cards sit flat and out of reach under bedding or cushions, and they work without sprays, fumes, pesticides or off-gassing. Keep them under the mattress or cushion rather than loose on top, and keep the opened inner panel away from children once you have checked it.
Does it use pesticides?
No. There is no insecticide and nothing to spray onto your bedding. The card works by attracting mites onto an adhesive surface sealed inside it and holding them there.
What about the droppings already in my mattress?
The cards collect mites and debris that reach the card over time. Keep washing bedding as you normally would — the cards work on the part of the mattress you cannot put in a machine.
Will this fix my allergies or asthma?
We will not promise that. Reducing dust mites in your bed is a sensible thing to do if mites bother you, but research on dust mite control and asthma outcomes is mixed, and nothing here replaces medical advice. Keep following your doctor.
What if I want to return them?
You have 90 days from delivery. Write to us and we refund you, and you do not need to post anything back.
